I haven't earned my doctorate yet! After yesterday I have to confess my diagnostic skills are lacking. I feel like I'm still in pre-med! We got the diff. all back together, really sweet! Installed it in the axel housing, hooked up the front drive shaft and started GUS up...Noise is still there, with no axel stafts, just the diff.!
Willis insisted on running GUS in 2 WD and the noise is faint but there, seamingly in the T-Case. This is where I started! Everything in there looked great when I had it out. Sure, my front-end is now like new and I have a bunch of new homemade special tools, but that's not where the problem is. I know sounds telegraph but this is ridiculous! I will remove the rear drive shaft and run it in 4 WD to eliminate the rear end. By turning the T-Case shafts by hand everything feels very smooth. Running out of time and patience...losing my mind... can't...breathe..........................=(
