I have discovered a problem with the gear box/transfer case /ebrake set up on my 55 Power Wagon. I am begining to think the gear box has been changed out at some time.
The top plate on the gear box has two mounting bosses that line up with the ebrake bracket. The plate that the transder case shifters attaches to has three mounting holes that line up with bosses on the lower part of the gear box. The photos that I have seen do not have the bosses on the to of the gear box and seem to mount the ebrake and transfer case levers on the same bosses. This will not work with my gear box and if I mount one high and the other low I have severe interference problems with shifters hitting the ebake and the ebrake hitting the dash.
What do I have and how do I make this work.
