'59 W-100 rear wheel bearing question

I have a W-100 that I am in the process of doing the brakes on and noticed that there is no grease on the rear wheel bearings, the axel and brakes were all supposedly rebuilt by the PO and the truck has not been driven since. Are the bearings lubricated by the axel grease or do they need to be packed with grease themselves, the bearing and seals do look brand new. I am betting that they need to be packed with wheel bearing grease. Thanks, Joe in NH
