In my case because I leaped before I looked when I came across a burned out 2001 RAM in the junkyard with a "brand new" hitch for sale for $50. I'm like that :) (leaping first)... I need only to separate the welds on the receiver cross bar where the frame supports are welded... (easy enough & I'm dieing to find an excuse to try out a plasma cutter) & move them 1 ", & reweld. Pretty simple (& to me right now it seams a lot easier than trying to repair my cracked interior door handles). If you can find one... get the receiver hitch to match the width of the frame rails for bolt-on no cut... no weld installation. I am positive there is a match out there... I just don't need to find one now. The other is getting the right drop measurement for your liking, in my case to drop far enough to miss an add on "custom" 35 gallon gas tank. Good Luck & keep us posted!
