Get a 60 gal stand up comperssor for your shop, 5-6 HP 2 stage (about $375) Find a used sandblasting cabinet to use for small parts and things, and use glass beads. Dont mess with outside sandblasting. It is dangerous to your health if you dont have the right equipment (which is expensive) and makes a big mess. You can have it done by professional sandblasters fairly inexpensively. I take all my stuff to a place where the fellow works for $60 an hour. He blasted a hood, grill, 2 front fenders, cab, and bed sides in less than 3 hours. His set up is too big for small parts.
Do not use Sillica or Sand in your blast cabinet in your shop!
