The gold I speak of is of course a PW.
Can anyone give me a new perspective on getting someone with fields of old trucks and equip. let go of parts from a 50s-60s Flatfendered PW that has sat in one spot so long outside that the sheet metal is no more than a thin papery shell,too rusted to be saved (as far as I'm concerned). It has a MU-2 winch I want and the drive train looks OK. The guy wouldn'y sell it since I've been asking the last 17 years and now that he is deceased, his son who plans to do nothing with this stuff won't sell it either.
Help me come up with reasoning to give so at least he will sell me the winch off it.
It was in fair shape when I first saw it as it sat under a lean-to shed but was shortly moved outside and has rusted for 17yrs. Its not even straight sheet metal! Frustrated!
