Questions for a 1941 dodge 1/2 ton military

Where can I find the vin number? The motor has a number that starts with m-230. It came with 6 wheels, I'm looking for a bed, and it is a closed cab.It has , I think a 1964 dodge bed on it. So what is this , a WC-? Any info would be most appreciated. Thanks, Mark. St. Louis, Mo.
