6x6 WC ponderings...

How do you tell the difference between a WC62 or 63 if the winch is not present? The one I picked up is missing the original front bumper, which leads me to believe that maybe the entire winch assembly may have been removed also, if it had one.
Would the doghouse have a slot for a PTO lever such as a FF PW? Any other signs to look for as being a winch model?

It has been fitted with a 318/long tail 727, unfortunately the firewall was tubbed (unnecessarily). The t-case was moved back about 8-10 inches. The orig. doghouse holes have been covered. It has headers. The engine is trashed, full of rainwater. I was very concerned that the front axle was damaged as the front tires were modern radial and smaller than the 9.00x16.0s on the rear. My fears were erased when I realized that the front driveshaft was never
lengthened to accomodate the t-case being moved.

Aside from the cutings, the body is in really good shape. Since the firewall has been tubbed, it lends itself to greater re-power posibilities without the guilt of having to tub it myself.

I do have a T6.354 Perkins/Clark 280 just waiting to be installed in an unsuspecting Dodge. Would this be acceptable?

This George Killians Irish Red Lager is not providing the answers I seek, but creating more questions. Should I switch to Grain Belt?
