Can anyone give me the correct name for the no-center wheel mounting system ? It uses the mobile home axle looking spoked hubs on thr truck axle and a centerless rim simular to a mobile home rim except for them being 20" ?
The reason I ask is because I make be given a 58-59 (dual healight) truck in not too bad condition. I cannot find a stamped plate on the doorpost to tell me exactly what model, tranny,axle,etc. Where else could I look or expect to find the serial # to find out exactly what year or model the truck is ? It has a 251 or 265 by the block length-26". It is complete except for needing a drivers door window glass replaced. It would make an excellent farm truck if the brakes can be made to work. It is a 2WD truck.
