70's Truck ?'s

I currently have a 1974 D200 Club Cab I am restoring. It has the 25 gallon gas tank under the bed.

I have access to a 76 D200 regular cab for parts. This truck has a gas tank behind the seat along with the 25 gallon under the bed. My D200 Club Cab has the under bed tank only. Can you put a behind the seat gas tank in a club cab? Is the behind the seat gas tank really a good safe thing or should I just stay away from the inside tank?

My plans are to use as much as I can. This cab appears solid so if anyone needs a 76 regular cab let me know.
