Looking for engine swap thoughts

My PW has a weak, smoking 230. I just bought a rebuilt m37 motor with carb, ignition,fuel pump,starter, clutch, and water pump (no fan belt though). They hooked up fuel line and batteries (24 v) and it fired almost instantly.

So now, do I change my PW to 24 volts? Or should I exchange distributor, oil pump,starter, etc for civilian 12 volt stuff on my PW?. I would actually like to keep military ignition if possible. I also have an m37 and an additional parts PW so I have and can use spare parts.

They had a 251 also, but looked like an industrial setup. Thanks for your thoughts. Sam
