It's been about a year since I've posted here. My sister in-law just gave me a 46' Dodge WH-47 Two ton flatbed. It has a 251, 5-speed with a 3-speed brownie and a custom cab. It was parked in 1969 and not worth restoring. I was thinking of using various parts for a PW restoration. Any thoughts on putting this tranny in an early PW? How can you tell if it's a direct or O/D 5th? When did Dodge go to syncro trannies, 1950? Will it fit?
