But I am up in the mountians. I have had both. I like 5.83's with taller tires. I have run Q78R16 Super Swampers with great success. Personally, I would rather save the bucks for putting in the 4.89's, lockers, and all, and just keep the 5.83's and get some 11.00-16 Michelin XL's ($1500 for 5 new in Canada). If You keep the NDT's 4.89's are the ticket. Unless you use your chains, NDT's have abysmal performance on snow and ice, and that will never work for me. I guess it's a matter of personal preference.
