Chemical stripping strips EVERYTHING. And it also gets between panels, and often weeps even for years after the job was done.

Think about it. If it strips EVERYTHING, that means you have to paint EVERYTHING. Some areas are difficult to get to. Plan ahead, and decide if an alternative might be better. Otherwise you'll have exposed bare metal which will eventually be rusted metal.

Seams are another bad problem. The stripping chemical gets into them, and it is hard to flush out. I've seen panels weep a whitish powder for years after chemical stripping was done. The severity ranges from no problem to looking like someone smeared rubber cement on the seam with a 1" wide brush and dumped baking soda on it. Unbolt everything. The areas that are going to be a pain are those that are riveted or welded together. Sandblasting might be an alternative. Again, think the job through.
