At the same recycling yard, (see post below),
they have what appears to be a 1964-1965 W-300 tow truck however the front grill says "100" ?? (Perhaps it was changed or is it possibly a "100").
The truck has a front winch that appears to be aluminum with shafting back to the transfer case. The spool is loaded with cable but very rusty. The tow units winch is a Braden PTO winch, (probably 10,000 lb), which is loaded with rusty cable. It is just the winch unit with chain drive from underneath with a sprocket possibly welded to the shaft, but not sure.
I know the yard owner would sell these winches off the truck if anyone is interested. (And I'm sure the price would be very reasonable).
