I paid $45k for my '06 CTD. 18 years later I can't even imagine what they cost now.
If it were a 3/4 or 1 ton I would recommend spending the money on a good late model 12 valve Cummins and a 6 speed transmission.
Either way, you'll be money ahead to restore (or rebuild, I can't remember the term we're supposed to use.) :)
