Don't know about Air,except straight air system.
I do know JI Case in 1981 with the 580D model
Changed there hydraulic DOT 3 system to ATF then later Hyd. oil.
Same master,wheel cyl. except with oil compatible rubber cups and seals.
Never a problem, and other Manf. followed.
Guessing oil in no good for automotive use,.
But that's above my pay grade.
