The snow-cat engine compartments originally had side covers held to the frame with about 20 small sheet-metal screws that usually get stuck and/or stripped out, and with wiring attached to the top edges of the side covers. Mine are now held on with 5 1/4" stainless steel screws going into threaded inserts, with wiring attached to the lower frame. That makes removing the side covers a WHOLE lot easier.
