My Dad had a 1948 Willys Jeep pickup T-90 3 speed, synchro 2nd and 3rd. I would meet him about a quarter mile from home when he came home from work, and I would sit in his lap and steer the truck home. Then he bought a 1949 Studebaker Champion pickup, 4 speed spur gear, that was the truck I learned how to double clutch in. I didn't like the Studebaker style too much and after riding in a jeep I was a little embarrassed to ride in the Studebaker, in time, I eventually got over it.
