I have one of those engine hoists and I found it didn't have enough lift height or reach for the cab, especially with the tires/suspension in place. I bit the bullet and shelled out $600 for a harbor freight bridge crane and it has been in my way constantly, ungainly to move around, BUT very handy for even lifting beds off pickups to replace fuel pumps. I recommend a bridge crane for the cab.
