I would agree with the comments below. I have a hoist like that, and I would be lost now without one in the shop. I have never used it to remove or set an engine back into a truck, but I use it to lift a lot of heavy things on and off of a flatbed trailer, the flatbed on my B3PW, the wheeled carts I have in the shop, parts on and off of the workbench, and parts in and out of the pallet bays.

I would not use one to lift a cab on or off of a truck. I don't imagine the weight would be a problem. But, it's the bulk of the cab, combined with the problem of finding the center of gravity (and having that work against you when in doubt).
