I have a Mennonite shop near me in MD that does alternators, voltage regulators and electric motors. They have rebuilt several of mine. One man there does the VR's. Honest and fair on prices.
They are of a car-driving church so have a phone, if you are interested in talking to them.
Carbs: I have heard good things about Treadwell Carburetor in NY but have not used them. Paul in NY might chime in. I I used Pascoreef before too.
