Yes they can be rebuilt, the trick is finding a kit. If the pump is a dual fuel/vacuum pump it may be that the only place you can currently find a kit is Then & Now Auto https://www.then-now-auto.com/product/fpa-180-fuel-pump-kit/ . There are several places that stock the kit for the plain fuel pump, the PIF has a link.
