Yes, "bz" equals bronze. The Military manuals define the parts much more in detail than the civilian manuals; type of metal, size/length of bolts their coating, the thread cut, etc. I've included a link to a partial list of the G502, WC ¾ ton abbreviation list, and a Military supplier description of the part-by-part number which indicates bronze.
