That is a very good question. I will have to search the parts lists to see if part numbers for the front engine mount, isolation pad, or transfer case mounts, etc. changed. I do know that the rear shackles got shorter by about a half of an inch at least which would have the same effect at that end, but that was well before 1955. Unless the number of complaints had just not caught up with them until 1955.
