The winch is original maybe not to that truck but I have a telephone truck that has a winch made by Braden that has the shaft all the way thru. The shaft was made to run wire reel for the electrical or telephone business. I also have a winch just like the one in the picture and it is also made by Braden and neither of the frames or trucks have been modified.
