Thanks Vaughn, had not seen that bracket before. I do have an engine hoist and that's how I got the engine+trans out, after taking off the radiator and fenders and hood. For logistics and storage space reasons I originally decided to leave the cab on. But as I get into it more and am trying to clean up 50 years of grime, I'm going to lift the cab off after all.
Once I reassemble, I want to put motor and trans in before I put the cab back on since I'll have easy access.
My question is what's the best way to handle the steering column re-install? Right now it is out with the steering wheel still attached. I'm pretty sure I cannot put it back in that way once the motor+trans is in and the cab is mounted.
So, what is the best way to do re-install the steering column and the steering wheel?
