All good points regarding re-use of the clips. I believe mine were NOS when I installed them and pretty sure I applied either anti-seize or lubricant to the threads when installing them - and the truck has been garaged and not driven at all since then, so they will be easy to disassemble without damage. So I will plan to re-use them.
And now, thanks to your reminder, I do recall that the RH plate is the one that is fixed to the axle.
