Thanks to all for the info on use of 85W-140 and especially to Clint for the history and Vaughn for the rebuild tolerance info (I looked all over for rebuild limits when I did the trany rework, now I have them :)). Also thanks to Vaughn for the video link with the sound. I’ve copied all the pertinent info to my files so that I can find it when I need it again.
I put 84W140 in my trany and the initial testing looks good for noise reduction. I’ll be driving the Beast on an extended trip this week, so I’ll be able to try it out when the trany is nicely warmed up.
