Some of you may remember I went bananas for weeks getting the brakes worked out on my WC53 carryall. Then just last year, I went though them again because a couple of the "new" brake cylinders failed.

Heading home with the wife from picking up stuff in the carryall today. At the end of the 4 lane highway into our home town, the road splits. Left lane heads straight into town to T into our main street. Right lane peels off one street early. Where many of the locals turn.

We are in a block of cars, in the right lane, getting ready to turn right. We are still coming down from highway speed. (47mph for me) There is some older white haired guy riding a bike on the right side of the road, weaving a bit. Julie points him out to me. "Hey this guy looks like trouble." I'm watching the car ahead of me, kinda' notice the bike. I'm thinking "He looks like he's having a rough time. Can't decide.. WOW!!" He wobbles and swerves a bit into my lane. Almost looses it. But he saves it, we're ok.

By now I've caught up to him, he looks over his shoulder at us and zoop! Pulls a 90 degree left turn maybe 5, 6? feet in front of our truck! I Lock the wheels up and the truck goes almost sideways trying to miss the guy. I'd say 2 feet or less is how close he came to being under the truck.

We're trying to get the truck straightened out and out of the way. Other cars are trying to not pile into us. He sorta waves and wobbles happily down the road.

Yeech!
