i had contracts w/ military rebuilding 35mm projection and sound reproducers for worldwide base installations...the 50+ pages of specs basically said REBUILD means every part got stripped, sandblasted, chrome parts re chromed full paint to specified colors, and all wearing parts replaced with new. (gears, rollers, sprockets, etc.) re-assemble to specs, run in on test stand for 8 hours.an OVERHAULED machine would entail cleanup and inspection, parts and replacement of parts showing excessive wear, re-assemble to specs and return to service. ANY rebuilt equipment would be warranted for 90 days and overhauled would carry a 30 day parts only warrantee. so obviously there is a difference!
