I would hope to believe that anyone a forum such this would all would believe the absolute
need for quality brakes on EACH wheel. Also with proper breakaway safety that would keep the trailer with the tow vehicle and also fully apply the trailer brakes. I can only speak for NY State, on any trailer except small trailers ( forget the weight) the above is required. The Troopers would love to catch you on the road without the above.
