The terrain where you intend to drive will also impact your gearing decision. A 230 with 4.89 or 5.83 will not pull 5-8% grades in high gear. If you are driving where the roads are mostly flat or have rolling hills then the end ratio conversation is completely different. I often wondered if a close ratio np435 would give a better ratio split...
