I felt the last peice of the installation needed a brace to stabalize movement between the cowl, dash and steering column to compensate for the OEM brace removed, so the silver brace or bracket in the images is not part of the VPW kit. The intent of the brace is to keep the above three items from flexing with the truck is in motion. Some may say it's not needed, but I say it is as you can flex the booster on the cowl. Both the booster and brake MC our fairly heavy items and will flex the cowl. With the brace secured, you cannot flex the booster any longer, so I'm satisfied with the out come.

I've also include my template made of foam board you can buy at Wal-Mart or other stores and it worked well for making the template, it's better than getting no template and weak instructions about how to proceed with the install. The template will set the booster about 6/8ths of an inch below the hood, plenty of clearance and leg room for a 6' foot person. If your taller than 6, you might want to drop the pedal mount a couple inches, I would recommend installing the pedals on the pedal mount and having someone hold it to the cowl to give you an idea for leg room. Anyway , it was a challenging piece of the project that I'm glad is behind me. Now to move on to the next item, rebuild the steering box. Enjoy!!
