I feel you are really going to have to search out a photo of a survivor with original paint in order to get a true image of Seawolf Submarine Green.

Because of conflicting paint codes, the differences in compositions of the original paint verses paints of today, what color of primer was the new paint applied over, the quality of computer color duplication, and/or the experience of the person who mixes colors by hand, all combine to create currently painted trucks that may be close to the original color, but all have varying degrees of differences.

Seawolf Submarine Green is a hard color to find as it was used only on Power-Wagons and was rarely applied at that. Be certain that the image you settle upon is not actually Dodge Truck Dark Green, Pontchartrain Green, Pine Green, or Bell Green.

I have seen in person only one truck still wearing original Seawolf Submarine green paint in the 40 plus years I have been in the hobby. It is an odd color. Closer Olive Drab than any other shade of green, but it has a lot more brown tint to it. It is a very dark color and can look almost black or dark grey under different light.

Good luck.

Junior
