I talked to a couple body men before I took on the job.
Stripped paint from the flange and cut the little welds
heated the flange to a dull red
Used a screw driver and a couple of pieces of a modified nail puller to bend back the flange
You do not need to remove the hinged to remove the door skin
When installing the skin I use panel adhesive when placing the skin - in some cases just the bottom seam and up about two inches on each end.
