That is probably the ONLY mistake I have not made. But I have touched or picked up parts that I have been grinding on, forgetting that they are hot. OUCH!
I have tried using copper plates behind holes whilst filling them, but I had not thought to use the copper before I weld new metal to old. Thank, I will have to try that and see if it helps.
