I’ll tell you a funny story. I have a friend who if he purchased that truck, it definitely would experience all of those things you described 100% for sure & then some :)
I restored a 1962 Cadillac Eldorado for him in the late 90’s. It was a concours restoration…nut & bolt. It was a beautiful car with every option & painted Pinehurst green with white bucket seats. So when it was done he wanted to take the car on a trip to California…and it was like February. I was telling him this wouldn’t be a good idea…I mean it was pouring & terrible weather in BC. No matter…he’s determined & so he takes it down through WA in the pouring rain, through OR & decides he’s going through Susanville to Reno. It’s snowing in Susanville but he’s going anyway. Makes it to Reno, stays overnight with plans to head to Sacramento in the morning but overnight the snow keeps coming in the mountains so in the morning, the 80 to CA is closed. So he’s waiting & finally they get it cleared but no traffic without tire chains. No worry we’ll just throw some chains on her :)
I’ll give him credit…he did use that car :)
