Just did this a week or so ago. Exactly what Kevin said!
Lift the arm bar straight up to the window opening. Parallel to that channel obstacle you mentioned. With the latch in the location that you unscrewed it from, start to twist or role the long side up over the obstacle. A little jiggling and it comes out. I felt like the mounting hole location may have given me some room to help getting the "L" shaped latch piece to curve around the obstacle. I just hope it goes in as well also!!
