1968 Wm300 fuel Tank

Friday I dropped of the fuel tank from my 1968 Wm300.I am afraid it is beyond repair. They are making a copy of the original. This tank is twice as large as the one on my 1965.It spans the entire distance between the frame rails.I would guess it hold about 36 gallons.Was this an option or something only on the1968's.
