yes, i use the mico locks on all my trucks and the ffpw with the sloped to mc is the main candidate in the warmer months when using the mico single cyl lever lock when winching, the fluid expands under heat thus every time i release the mico, a small shot of fluid will come out ogf the vent cap on the mc, the res will prevent fluid loss and keep the cyl full, i have noticed a lot of pw owners doing this the last few years for various reasons, the only one to be careful in use is the m-37 if the res is too high it can siphon fluid into the carburetor because of the sealed vent system for fording, just mount theres about level with the starter to prevent the siphon action, I just drill out a threaded plug and tap it to fit the brass fitting, the res becomes the venting system and has a diaphragm like a mc does to minimize moisture intake. I think the ones Kaegi has are similar to the mico res. I hear they work well.
