Howard,
When I did mine, I had no problem with hitting the cab but as has been stated, you can adjust the cab height with washers.
When I got it all together, there was bad vibration. After much unnecessary work to fix it, someone suggested checking the driveline angles. I didnt want to use wedge shims on the rear differential so used that as my benchmark and worked forward. I didn't worry about the front driveshaft. I had to tip the transfer case and also change the angle of the engine. It would seem east to shim under the front mounts but in mine, the distributor cap was just barely clearing the firewall so lowering the rear was the only way I could go. Of course the rear has no provision to lower so ended up making new rear mounting brackets. Once I had the angles correct it ran smoothly.
Google driveline angles and there are lots of good articles. I am really amazed that there is no mention in the instructions to go though that step, it is absolutely critical.
