I have the same problem with my '48 FFPW.I might add all fuel lines from tank to pump are new. I didn't notice it as bad with stock carb but using Weber now and first start after starting requires quite a bit of cranking. All starts for rest of day are quick. My question if it's a drain back with problem with pump which is like one year old should this one way check valve be just before pump or just out of pump headed to carb? Thanks
