Greg Coffin's kit looks like a superb solution. If they had been available 10 or 15 years ago I would have sprung for one for the driver's side since that is all I need to replace the existing.
I have a Bosch electric motor for the single wiper on the driver's side and it's almost useless with heavy snow, as we get in North Idaho. Unless you live in or near an area where you get snow I think one like I have would take care of the Calif rain that I remember. (Of course this winter is different.)
