I have a /6 in my '41 1/2 ton wc. Didn't have a problem. The firewall had a big chunk out of it already so it's not like I had to cut anything, I just had to fill what I didn't need cut out. I also run an electric fan because of length problems and the fact the motor sits very low in the frame to keep the autotranny from making the firewall hump as any bigger than need be. The front of the motor sits about 1"-2" off the crossmember.
