Slant 6 in 1952 civilian/ M37/M43

No, MoparNorm, The problem was/is the relationship between the slant 6's side mounted, external oil pump and the front axle housing (the ring'n pinion portion). The slant 6 is tilted to the right which is the same side the ring'n pinion housing is on. The air-space between them was zilch. I dearly love the bent 6, but for the above reason could not easly install it. I tried some years later with a M37 install, and ran into to same problem.
