Does anyone know the approx. hp loss if a flathead is converted to LP gas ? Suppose the truck was used mostly on the farm and not used as a daily driver where acceleration or high speed was not a real concern, would it perform satisfactory and wouldn't it be better on the engines longevity? The conversion would be a dual fuel setup using LP or gasoline when needed.
Has anyone ever done this to a PW ? I know L-head 4-cyl. forklifts use LP but I need info if available concerning the L-head 6's. The local gas co. has a deal for these dual fuel units for only $500 including tank, is this a good deal ?
