I believe they are not used on the 230. I replaced my oil pan gasket and they were included in the set. I checked both my parts book and repair manual, and they were not shown. I did'nt use them when I replaced my gasket and the pan does'nt leak. Just don't cut any of the gaskets. The end gaskets will cause the sides to stick up about a 1/4 of an inch, but will seat when bolted down. Use silicone seal in the joints of the gaskets if you use a different gasket sealer.
