I believe that the real problem with the LocRite in the Jeeps is the low strength of the carrier. Remember that the LocRite is installed in your carrier. Yes, the LocRite puts added stress on the carrier and the Jeep's carrier is not strong enough. It is not the LocRite failing but Jeep's weaker and insufficient parts.
I have a LocRite in my WC 53. It is doing just fine. No problems at all. The Dodge carrier is massive and is not going to come apart. I did not put in the bronze or steel thrust washers as I did not know about them. So far no problems.
