Just frequented one of my favorite stomping grounds and got a close up view of a 2001 Dodge Truck (1500) frame end to end and... it was a factory 2 piece (front and rear) frame linked together behind the cab with 3 rivets on each rail. I wouldn't feel so bad now if I wanted to extend the frame on my FlatFender for any reason (crew cab) :) but I would definately NOT do it with 6 rivets! It just surprised me... that's all.
